1-year-old kidnapped boy at Takoradi rescued by SWAT team

Reports reaching Ghanapage.com indicates that a one-year-old boy who was kidnapped from his mother at Takoradi Market Circle last Friday has been rescued by the Western Regional Swat Team.

According to the reports, the kidnapped boy was found in Effiekuma Zongo around 11 pm on Monday at Takoradi.

The suspect

The woman involved in the kidnapping had an accomplice, a man who is believed to be a Togolese according to reports have been arrested.

According to eyewitnesses, a CCTV being used by the bank captured the kidnapper stealing the baby.

The incident was reported to the Market Circle Police after it happened around 4:30 pm in front of the Market Circle Post Office.

The one-year-old boy was stolen from his mother when she was attending to customers in the market.

However, the baby has been sent to the Effie-Nkwanta Regional Hospital for further medical examination.
