A 14-year-old Nigerian girl has gone viral on social media for allegedly stealing her mother’s money to buy a mobile phone for her boyfriend.

As reported by @TrendingEx on X formerly Twitter, the young girl stole her mother’s 150,000 Naira, which is equivalent to GHS 1,456.14 to buy a phone for her teenage boyfriend.

@TrendingEx also alleged in the tweet that the girl bought the phone for her boyfriend to start Yahoo – A localised term for internet fraud.

Sharing the news on X, @TrendingE shared photos of the 14 year old girl and her boyfriend, alongside her mother and some neighbourhood elders.
