Former Power Minister and Member of Parliament for Pru West Dr. Kwabena Donkor has alleged that 75% of the Members of Parliament in Ghana have High Blood Pressure or diabetes as a result of their work.
The politician who was speaking on Citi FM’s Eye witness news with Umaru Sanda Amadu last Tuesday on the pressures he endured in office as Power Minister under the erstwhile John Mahama administration when “dumsor” was at its peak.

According to the former Energy minister, the job to severe demands a lot of pressure and it’s not surprising that most of his colleagues are suffering from High BP and diabetes.
On reason why he resigned during his tenure in office, he stated that he didn’t resign because he failed to solve dumsor, but “because some elements within the NDC where acting funny”, disclosing he ended dumsor by December 2015.
Asked whether he would accept the job back if even a chance once again, he refused to comment on it.
