There are over 50 Ghanaians currently fighting for ISIS – Libya officials reveals

New evidence available to the Libya government has confirmed the earlier argument by ranking member on parliament’s foreign affairs committee, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa that Ghana is one of the major places Islamic State terrorist (ISIS) recruit their members.

The Libya government has revealed that there are over 50 Ghanaians who are currently fighting for the terror group ISIS which is causing havoc and destroying lives and properties in the country.

According to Al-Seddiq al-Sour, the head of the investigation at the Attorney General’s office in Libya has revealed that Ghana, Senegal, Gambia, Chad, Niger, Eritrea, and Mali has between 50 to 100 of their citizens in the ISIS fighting for the terror group.

ISIS

Not long ago, it became public knowledge that one Nazir Nortei Alema a Ghanaian citizen and graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has joined the terror group.

The news was made public by the brother of Nazir, Kabir who submitted the WhatsApp conversation he had with his brother to the police.

The government of Ghana is yet to respond officially to this report put out by the Libyan government.
