The final funeral rites of Ebony’s soldier bodyguard, Francis Atsu Vondee was held at Adidome, in the Volta Region. They both lost their lives when the jeep they were traveling in collided with VIP Passenger Bus.

There were numerous reports after his death that his body had been detained to serve a sentence after a court-martial after his unfortunate demise, but the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) came out to refute those reports.

Another controversial issue that popped up was the fact that Ebony’s Ruff Town Records management team came out after the sad incident to claim that they never knew anything about the bodyguard.

However, these claims were shut down by Ebony’s father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng, who said he knew Vondee as the bodyguard of his daughter.
