Kumawood actor, Kwaku Manu has blamed the death of fellow actor, Abass Nurudeen on the collapse of the movie industry.
According to Kwaku Manu who was finding it difficult to come to terms with the sudden demise of Abass explained that if the industry was thriving, Blinks would not be where he was at the time of his stabbing.
One of the saddest news Ghanaians in Ghana now the death of 35-year-old Kumawood actor Nurudeen Abass popularly known as Blinkz and it was indeed another Black Wednesday for movie lovers and Ghanaians at large.
The 35-year-old Kumawood actor was stabbed to death Wednesday morning at Sawaba Akrem in the Asokore Mampong Municipality in the Ashanti Region.
Reacting to the issue on Adom FM’s midmorning show, Work & Happiness, Kwaku Manu said the movie industry has lost a great talent.
“Blinks was not just an actor, he was also a makeup artist and combined the two anytime we were on location to shoot a movie,” he stated.
Kwaku Manu recalled how he linked the late Blinks to, Jones Agyemang; a popular movie producer which begun their friendship.
“Blinks was like a brother so his death really hit me. I’m convinced if we were working, this wouldn’t have happened to him,” he bemoaned.
Meanwhile, information reaching us has it that one of the people who stabbed him identified as Sumaila Tijani has been arrested by the police in connection to the murder.
A source at the Ashanti Regional Police Command confirming the arrest said the suspect Sumaila was arrested at his hideout at Atimatim in the Tafo-Pankrono Municipality of the Ashanti region.
