The peculiar circumstances that caused a man to hide his wife’s dead body in their apartment for several months are being investigated by police in Abuakwa, in the Ashanti region.

Police also found the man’s body sitting in the family bathroom toilet.

The couple’s two 11 and 13-year-old children were also found unconscious and saved.

The Jacksons, a prosperous family, moved to Maakro Plot 10 around seven years ago and resided in a rented flat.

The Jacksons, a prosperous family, moved to Maakro Plot 10 around seven years ago and resided in a rented flat.

Since they live individually, they have never interacted with other inhabitants.

The Jacksons arrived home in May, parked their unregistered Ford Expedition, and then went upstairs to their apartment, which was the last time co-tenants saw the family.

But after several months passed with no sign of the Jacksons, the furious neighbours filed a police report in Abuakwa.

Mrs Ernestina Jackson’s body was discovered in a stage of decomposition. Police discovered that her husband Samuel Jackson, who was also running late, attempted to preserve her body at home by applying ice packs to the body covered in a blanket.

The police believe Mrs Jackson passed away three months ago.

Her 48-year-old husband’s body was similarly discovered in the family’s bathroom, this time on the toilet.

The cause of the couple’s deaths, who don’t interact with their neighbours, is unknown.

They also discovered their two kids unconscious. For days, they were imprisoned in the two-bedroom apartment with their dead parents’ decomposing remains, receiving no food nor water.
