The Black Stars of Ghana in their first game at the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) suffered a defeat to Morocco.
The goal was scored by Sofiane Boufal in the 83rd minute after Ghana had had a lot of chances which they failed to convert.
In the lead up to the goal, Thomas Partey was trying to intercept the ball but failed to get a grip which led to the ball spilling OFF to Boufal who hit it hard into the open net.
Ghana is expected to play Gabon and Comoros Island in their next fixtures to determine whether they could progress to the next stage of the tournament or not.
The Black Stars failed to keep possession, lost the ball too often and were not clinical enough. In the end, Ghana lost by 1-0.
Ghanaians have reacted with rage to the performance of some players like Dede Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Thomas Partey et al who failed to come to the party.
On the other hand, others believe a slow start for the Black Stars usually leads to positive results in the end.
