Mamoudou Gassama, the Malian immigrant who risked his life to save a child in France has been honoured at the just ended BET Awards that came off last weekend in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old received a humanitarian award alongside Anthony Borges, James Shaw Jr., Justin Blackman, Naomi Wadler, and Shaun King.

Ever his heroic adventure went viral, Mamoudou has since been granted a French citizenship by French President Emmanuel Macron, and was also offered an enrollment to be a firefighter at the French fire service with a pay of 600 euros monthly for his humanitarian gesture.
