For the first time, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi the disgraced former Ghana Football Association President has broken his silence on how Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tiger Eye Team set him up. According to Nyantakyi, the main person behind the trap was the late Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
Speaking to Abedi Anim, the host of the morning show on NET2 TV in a phone in an interview today, 7th February 2019, Nyantakyi revealed that the person who laid the trap and pushed him and his other executives into it is not Anas as he keeps telling Ghanaians but his other colleague who was murdered last month, Ahmed Hussein.
Kwesi Nyantakyi explained that it was Ahmed who approached the equally disgraced Northern Region FA president Abu with the offer of Local club sponsorship.
Ahmed told Abu he works with some rich Sheik in Dubai who wants to heavily invest in Ghana Football and in return push his own businesses in Ghana.
With their desperation to get a sponsor for the Local League, they fell into Ahmed’s trap. Abu introduced Ahmed to him and they met for over 10 times planning on the sponsorship. He first traveled to Dubai with Ahmed and his assistant to meet the Sheik but was not available.
The second time he paid for Ahmed and his assistant to travel to Dubai. It was the third time after he went there with Abu, Ahmed and his assistant that they met the fake Sheik Al Thani.
Ahmed even told the then-presidential candidate, Mr. Oppong Weah of Liberia, a close friend of Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, that he can help him in the election and even lured him to Dubai all at Nyantakyi’s expenses but the Sheik never showed up
Throughout the correspondence, he never for ones met Anas Aremeyaw Anas. All his expenses totaling $40,000 was promised to be paid which they did and recorded to disgrace him as a bribe.
