Information reaching Ghanapage.com indicates that the roundabout at the Airport Hills Estate in Accra has been approved by Government to be renamed after Major Maxwell Mahama.
A statue will also be unveiled at the roundabout in honour of the murdered soldier on Wednesday 29th May at the Airport Hills.

The unveiling ceremony will be attended by Major Mahama’s family, Defence Minister, the Military High Command and other state officials.
This was revealed through a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Armed Forces, Commander A. La-Nyane
Maxwell Adams Mahama was gruesomely murdered in the line of duty at Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region in 2017 after he was mistaken to be an armed robber.
He was part of over 100 officers deployed to Denkyira Obuasi to fight against illegal mining and was callously murdered by residents in the community.
He was with the 5th Infantry Battalion but after his death, he was promoted to the full rank of Major by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.
