Akua Donkor arrested for allegedly defrauding trader of GHc10,500

The police in Ashanti regional headquarters has arrested the leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor over a Gh¢10,500 fraud case against her.

The complainant in the case Ama Yeboah told the police the politician sold a parcel of land to her back in 2009 but has never known peace from Donkor’s relatives.

According to Ms Yeboah, she had called Madam Donkor to complain about the development, but all efforts to reach her proved futile.

Mrs. Yeboah, however, had a hint on Monday morning that Madam Donkor was in Kumasi, and reported the matter to Police for her arrest.

Akua Donkor is currently writing her statement at the Ashanti Regional Police Command.
