President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has ordered the Ghana Education Service to rethink their punishments on the 14 final year WASSCE students who were banned and dismissed for indiscipline.

In an official Press Statements from the presidency signed by the President’s Director of Communications, Eugene Arhin, states that Akufo-Addo believes that dismissal alone given to these students is ok.
However, banning them from writing their final exam according to him is severe. He called on the GES to reconsider and bring them back to the classroom to continue their exams,thus, he believes everyone deserves a second chance.
