Celebrity lawyer Maurice Ampaw has now waded into politics and has described Hon. Alban Bagbin who happens to be the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and a member of National Democratic Congress (NDC) as well as Member of Parliament (MP) for Nadowli/Kaleo, as the only a truthful politician in the party.
Recently, the member of parliament made some comments about some people in erstwhile Mahama led administration which has made some people angry with him.
Speaking on Rainbow radio, the lawyer passed some comments about the politician and shared his thoughts about the comments he passed about the Mahama led administration.

“What Mr Bagbin said about Dr Boamah and Danaa and Okudzeto Ablakwa was the truth and these are the people we need as leaders”, the lawyer stated.
“I will go for Alban Bagbin and I will also admonish any genuine NDC delegate to vote for Alban Bagbin because they will have the opportunity to win the race in 2020 with Bagbin as a presidential candidate”
‘’I am appealing to Mr. John Mahama to rescind his decision from contesting. If indeed he is patriotic, a nationalist and loves Ghana, then he should not contest again.’’

According to him, Ghanaians are hypocrites for attacking courageous and fearless Alban Bagbin who spoke the obvious truth when he said bad decisions made by then President John Mahama took the NDC into opposition.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, Professor Joshua Alabi, Mr. Sylvester Mensah, Mr. Alban Bagbin, Mr. Kweku G. Ricketts-Hagan, Elikplim Agbemava and Dr. Ekow Spio Garbrah have all announced their intentions to contest the presidential candidacy of the opposition NDC including Mr. Stephen Atubiga.
The number of persons seeking to lead the umbrella family is expected to increase as more persons are expected to submit their letters of intent to the National Secretariat of the NDC.
