Four suspects in the kidnapping of Canadian girls set free by Accra High Court

A few months ago, Ghana and the international community went into a frenzy when two canadian girls were kidnapped whilst they were in Ghana.

In a recent development four out of the eight suspects who were arrested in connection to the kidnapping have been released.

The suspects Seidu Abubakar aka Mba, Abdul Nasir, Safiano Abubakar and Abdul Rahman Suleimana aka Wofa were discharged after the Attorney-General substituted the charge sheet with a new charge sheet.

Senior State Attorney, Ms Hilda Craig, told the Accra High Court on friday morning that the Attorney-General decided to free the four after reviewing the case docket following investigations.

Following the new development, who are being tried for conspiracy to commit kidnapping and Kidnapping are Samson Aghalor aka Romeo, Elvis Ojeworye, Jeff Omarsar and Yusif Yakubu.
