Amakyebare disaster: ” it has been fives weeks and the students are still home”- Education Director

The Municipal Education Director of Atwima Nwabigya North Municipal, Mr. Frank Duah Agyemang, has made a passionate appeal to the government and individuals to come to the aid of the Amakyebare community, which was ravaged by a devastating rainstorm three weeks ago.

The disaster destroyed over 150 homes, including all the educational buildings in the town, leaving hundreds of students without a place to learn. As a result, the students have been forced to stay home, missing out on valuable learning time.

Mr. Agyemang is pleading with the government and individuals to provide assistance to help rebuild the damaged schools and restore education to the affected students. He emphasized that the situation is dire and requires immediate attention to prevent further disruption to the students’ education.

The Education Director’s appeal highlights the urgent need for support to help the Amakyebare community recover from the devastating effects of the rainstorm. The government and individuals have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of these students and help them get back to learning.
