The funeral for the late vice president of Ghana, Mr. Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur is currently underway at the Accra International Conference Centre. It’s a two days state burial.

Born on April 29, 1951, to the Hutchful family and Amissah-Arthur family at Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana, 67-year-old old Amissah Arthur was the fifth Vice President of Ghana between 6th August 2012 and 7th January 2017, under former President John Mahama’s administration.

Prior to that, Amissah Arthur was the Governor of the Bank of Ghana from 2009 to 2012 until he was appointed to fill the position of Vice President of Ghana.

The late Veep died on the morning of 29th June 2018, during work out session at the Air Force Base in Accra with his wife, Mrs. Matilda Amissah Arthur. He left behind a wife and two children.
