Former President John Mahama Named In A $8 Million Nyantakyi Scandal

The Anas yet to be premiered latest Exposé seem to be opening a serious can of worms which will likely shake the foundation and the practice of Democracy in Ghana.

News Ghpage.com is picking up has it that, John Dramani Mahama, the former president of Ghana’s name has popped up in the ongoing controversy which has been termed by many as “Nyantakyi Scandal” in connection with an $ 8 million bribe.

Kwesi Nyantakyi was arrested by the police CID when the president of Ghanan filed a complaint with them that the president of Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi was using his name to extort money from potential investors. This was after he had watch excerpts of the Anas video.

According to new reports, when Nyantakyi was arrested, he named the former president of Ghana, John Mahama as well as other executives in the erstwhile administration who benefited from his donation to the tune of $8 Million.

In a statement written by Mr. Nyantakyi on May 23, excerpts of which have been gleaned by Joy News, the embattled FA president is reported as saying an amount of $8 million was given to Mr. Mahama and the NDC ahead of 2016 elections.

The police CID are therefore investigating whether or not the money was sent, how it was sent if at all it was and who received what amount. The police are equally also looking into a possible breach of financial laws if indeed the amount of money was sent.
