Blackstars captain Asamoah Gyan some weeks ago was reported to have told the court that he was broke and has no money since his club has not paid him for his services for some months now and as such can’t be able to foot the cost of the Business class travel of his wife and three children.

Many people doubted him since he has numerous businesses that fetch him money but a family source has revealed that the footballer has finally submitted proof of being broke to the court and shockingly, it is a National Investment Bank (NIB) Account with 4000 Ghana cedis.

According to Asamoah Gyan, “My front and back, up and down is that money (GH¢4000) you see there”. When he was challenged if he didn’t have any account overseas, in Europe, Asia or elsewhere he plied his footballing trade, Asamoah Gyan submitted a Bank account from Turkey that had zero balance as proof he has truly not been paid for several months.

It has also emerged that Gyan’s three children have begun asking questions about his whereabouts as they have not heard from their father since August this year, not even on Christmas where usually he visits when on break. He has refused or is unable to return calls to his phone to talk to his own children until DNA test proves otherwise. The DNA test is scheduled in early January next year.

Asamoah Gyan has filed for a marriage annulment in order to be able to remarry. He intends to marry ‘popular’ socialite Nina Atalah, former wife of Buju Banton and ex-girlfriend of Stephen Appiah, John Dumelo and allegedly, Ibrahim Mahama.
