2017 ended with a big bang for some Ghanaian artist. It was really a good year for both some selected male and female musicians in Ghana.

Sarkodie released his much awaited “Highest” album, Stonebwoy dropped his album “Epistles of Mama”, Ebony Reigns released her “Bonified” album, Becca celebrated her 10th anniversary in ShowBiz and self-acclaimed Dancehall King Shatta Wale released 107 songs.

As Vodafone Ghana Music Awards draw closer, many music lovers have released their best artists of the year and the songs they expect to win big at the Awards show.

The Captain of the Ghana Black Stars Asamoah Gyan at the 8th Edition of LEADseries, a mentorship program hosted by Jay Foley at Accra Mall talked about 3 major artists who have been consistent this year and are his top 3 best musicians for 2017.

Although he acknowledged the fact that other songs and artist have impressed with good songs, he chose Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy as the best.

Asamoah Gyan said:

“For this year 2017, those who have been very consistent and honestly I am being real are Livingstone Etse Satekla (Stonebwoy), Michael Owusu Addo (Sarkodie), Samini and Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr (Shatta Wale).”

“There are a lot of good songs that have been produced and released, we all dance to it, which is good….. but talking about consistency, these Ghanaian artiste stands out for me.”
