Reports available at the news desk of GhPage is that the Minister of Interior and Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawase, Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka has lost his mother, Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka.
Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka died on Monday evening, February 3, 2025, in the Ashanti-Region capital Kumasi after a short illness.
Hon. Muntaka Mubarak’s mother passed on the same day he officially assumed his new role as the Interior Minister of the Republic of Ghana after he was sworn in by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama at the Jubilee House on Friday, January 31, 2025.
Hon. Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak is a sixth-term Member of Parliament (MP) for Asawase and has served on various committees in parliament.
The death of the lawmaker’s mother has saddened many within the Asawase and Aboabo areas in Kumasi.
The burial of Hajia Saudatu Sulemana Muntaka will take place at Aboabo today Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
