A young man was spared by some community members of Atta Deka a suburb closer to Ashaiman thanks to an atopa-tape on his phone.
The young man, according to some members of the area, for the past 2 weeks, had been seen walking in the area at odd times.
Because of the time he was always seen, some people thought he was one of the by-day workers who came to work in the area with a popular Manson.
Some concerned people visited the Manson to ask about the man but he informed them he didn’t know the person they were talking about.
Days later, a chop bar operator was attacked and shot in the back by some armed men who were in the area to rob.
This unknown man became the main suspect since he wasn’t known to be staying in the area and surprisingly he wasn’t seen on the day the incident happened.
A few days ago, the young man was spotted once again in the area at dawn but this time round, he was surrounded by some residents who thought he was scouting the area for another victim.
When they questioned him on what he was doing there at that odd time, he told them he stayed in the area and was on his way to see his female friend who also stayed in the area.
Not convinced by his answer, the said lady was called to the scene to confirm if she indeed knew the man because they considered him to be a thief who had been terrorizing them in the area with his gang.
The lady denied him claiming she had never seen him before and didn’t know why the man would lie about her. This got the residents more angry with some threatening to beat up the man.
He bought out his phone and showed them photos of himself and the lady kissing and enjoying themselves in town. He went on to show them a video of him chopping the said lady.
This got one of the residents angry and ended up slapping the lady for denying the man and putting his life in danger.
The man was however saved after his landlady rushed to the scene to confirm that he was indeed staying in her house but he leaves home very early and returns very late to avoid meeting her because they have issues.
