Awards does not make you a successful musician -Fuse ODG

Nana Richard Abiona known by his stage name Fuse ODG has revealed in an interview that he does not measure his success by the awards he gets.

According to the musician, he does not see winning awards as a benchmark to being a prominent and successful musician but making sure his music impact lives positively.

“An award does not measure my success, is not something I use as a benchmark as an artist. The number of people I can reach with my music, the lives I have changed. That to me is a success, other artists have different preferences”, he noted.

The “antenna” hitmaker can be described as the only musician who has won a Grammy award to make Ghana proud.

He received the Grammy award for ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ at the 2018 Grammy Awards for co-writing Ed Sheeran’s ‘Divide’ album.

He is best known for his 2013 hit single ‘Antenna’ which peaked at number 7 on the UK singles chart.

He was born in London but raised in Ghana where he had his junior high school education and later moved to London for his secondary education.
