5 boys involved in the infamous Bantama Gang rape which occurred in 2017 in court yesterday, 31st January 2018 but the judge at Kumasi Circuit Court One adjourned the case to 7 February 2018.
The adjournment was announced after the prosecutor presented some facts to the court presided by Comfort Tasiame, to prove that some of the suspects are not juveniles and also pleaded for more time to conduct further investigations.

Immediately after the judge announced the judgment, the 5 boys who were in the courtroom with their parents and lawyers burst into tears. The court will make a determination on the suspects’ age at the next hearing.
A video surfaced online of about 7 guys gang raping a young girl. It was later discovered that the incident happened in Bantama, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The police subequally moved in arrested the boys captured in the video.
