Barbara Mahama, Widow of the late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama on Friday received a sum of GH¢27,770 from the proceeds of a fundraising dubbed “Go fund me’ “ created by a senior military officer on behalf of the family.
Proff-Kumordzie Double Double, the lead campaigner for the fund thanked various individuals for their contributions to this generous course.
In a short ceremony to hand over the said amount to the widow at the Burma Camp in Accra he said;
“first, let me thank the following individuals who encouraged me to set up the Go fund me. Eugene Kwabena Ackah, Kojo Asarr Jnr, Horatio Sam-Aggrey and Yaw Frempong. Guys l thank you very much for your behind support. A big thanks to Elikem Fiamavleone of the finest Lt Colonels in the army and Getty Kunde-Kwallinjam who worked diligently in the background.
Special thanks to my wife Edwina Bailey-Kumordzie who was always checking my blood pressure and whispering to me ” Baby relax. Many people can attest to your character and integrity”. Edwina we need to have a “happening now” party tonight. Oh yes weather bring herself.
But my biggest thanks go to all those who have donated. I can’t list your names. You did well. Mother Ghana is proud of you”
