FC Barcelona has officially signed 18-year-old Ghanaian center-back Hafiz Gariba on a three-year deal, according to Spanish journalist Toni Juanmarti.
Gariba, who trained at Spain’s prestigious Escuela Marcet academy, was highly sought after by top clubs but chose Barcelona, fulfilling his dream of joining the Catalan giants.
Initially, he will play for Barcelona’s Juvenil B squad under coach Pol Planas, with plans to promote him to Juliano Belletti’s Juvenil A team as he develops.
Known for his physical strength and defensive intelligence, Gariba is expected to progress quickly within the club’s youth system.
This signing highlights Barcelona’s continued investment in young talent, reinforcing their commitment to strengthening their future squad.
If he continues his impressive form, Gariba could eventually earn a spot in the senior team.
