The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), Specifically, BBC Africa has made a damning and frankly unexpected mistake and Ghanaians are giving the media company one hell of a time on Twitter.
The BBC Africa had an interview with Ghanaian Dancehall star, Stonebwoy and they talked among other things his new album he just released, ‘Epistle of Mama’.
While sharing the interview on their social media handles, they used a different person’s image for Stonebwoy as if Stonebwoy is a Stranger on the internet.
Ghanaians have expressed outrage over this ‘careless’ mistake by BBC Africa on Twitter. Many of the people who passed a comment on the post shared by BBC could not understand why the media giant couldn’t do a simple google search for the image of Stonebwoy.
One Twitter user, Maame Serwaa tweeted: “Eeii @BBCAfrica is it that difficult to find a @stonebwoyb picture on google? Not not not.”

Another outraged Ghanaian Twitter user wrote: “You guys are not serious and credible, are you telling us you don’t have the image of @stonebwoyb and even can’t you google the images of him…”
One guy just instructed the media corporation to delete the post. He tweeted: “Abeg delete.”
Neither Stonebwoy or his management has passed a comment on this goof by BBC Africa. Imagine if this was done to Shatta Wale, like dem go smell peper…lol
