Popular Ghanaian songstress Rebecca Acheampong, aka Becca after Sammy Gyamfi has found herself on the social media ‘chopping’ board over some comments that did not go down well with some Ghanaian tweeps.
She is facing serious trolls on Twitter following a ridiculous comment by her, on the back of George Floyd’s death (The Africa-America) who was murdered by a white police officer in Minneapolis, USA.
She is trending on Twitter. Becca taking a bite on the black man’s murder by the white police officer has likened the killing of Floyd to marriage, remarking that people complain when an African marries a fellow African but they are loud on fighting racism in the U.S.
Her comments seemed like an attack on Ghanaians who have condemned her for marrying another person from a different tribe and country rather than settling with a fellow countryman. To her, she thinks that is an act of hypocrisy.
Her tweet reads; “You are here in Africa fighting and advocating racism in the US but in your church/home, you are criticizing and judging someone for marrying a fellow African because they are not from your hometown/country/church… Damn Hypocrites!!!”

Some angry twitterians who were not happy about her take on the trending racism issue roasted her on Twitter like ‘a chicken in an oven’.
One of the noticeable comments from the numerous reaction to Becca’s comments was from a lady who said that Becca in her own way started racism when she ‘went from Becca to Michael Jackson’.
Meaning, Becca detested the African race and had to bleached to become fair.
