Bishop Obinim came in the news when a video of him ordering members of his church at the Tema Branch to bring their underwear to be burnt at one of the services to be held on Tuesday surfaced.
According to the self-acclaimed “Angel” of God, that exercise was a spiritual direction from God to deliver his followers from their troubles.
This attracted criticisms from all angles. An evangelist, Isaac Kojo Antwi, even came out to say, it is time for Bishop Obinim, who he says is occultic, to present sacrifices to his spiritual masters in order to gain more powers hence the directive.
However, the Bishop isn’t taken any of that and had called out those who criticized his ‘heavenly’ direction as fools.
According to him, he doesn’t understand why people will criticize things they do not understand—especially when it has to do with spiritualism.
“Any church member of a pastor who criticized my direction should desist going to his church, he does not know anything about spiritualism,” Obinim said
“And one thing that annoys me is when they say, my direction is not in the Bible, Fools, are mobile phones in the Bible?Fools, is your TV in the Bible? Is an airplane in the Bible? Why are you people stupid?” Obinim added.
