Ghanaians are distressed over the abysmal performance of the Blackstars at the AFCON underway in Cameroon.

Exiting the competition with just a point and coming last in the group was the last thing we ever thought of.

How on earth? The team of players that represented the country on the field of play I can say, is the worst by far.

My hands were cold whiles typing. I could have written a library of words to express my pain after seeing the ‘money conscious’ Black Stars play all their three group games.

I’ve had a second thought, and that is, I believe there’s hope coming; The Black Stars will be restored to default settings and play better in their subsequent games.

In the matters arising following Blackstar’s AFCON exit, it was alleged that Thomas Partey threatened to leave the Black Stars camp after a senior player came with a ‘juju man’ to the camp.

The report further states that the midfielder complained to authorities at the camp but nothing was done about it, hence his decision to leave the camp.

Captain Smart made these allegations while on Onua TV. He also claimed the other players were complaining about how stinky the whole place was because of the incantations of the mallam of the senior player.

Mr Smart also disclosed that the FA pleaded to the Ministry to talk to Partey who vowed to quit playing for the senior national team because of the bad experience he encountered during the AFCON.

The FA pleaded to the Ministry to talk to Thomas Teye Partey because Partey has also threatened to quit or close his door for the national team.

During the AFCON 2021, Partey reported to the technical team that one of the senior players has brought in his personal mallam/priest comes to the player’s room in every midnight and in every 1:00am. They (players) hears chanting words from the player’s room. (very noisy) but no decision was taken by the technical team”.
