The body of the late former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan is set to arrive in the country for burial on Monday the 10th of September 2018 according to reports from the Information minister-designate, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.
The corpse of the diplomat would be accompanied by his wife, children, and some top UN officials.
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah disclosed that the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will together receive the body of Kofi Annan on behalf of the people of Ghana.

The legendary peace-maker passed on Saturday, 18th August 2018 in Switzerland after a short illness as is the message from his family.
In a statement released to the public, The Nobel Peace Laureate had his wife and children by his side during his last days in what they termed as a peaceful passing on.
Many leaders and people of all walks of life quickly took to social media to condole with the bereaved family of the icon.
