A Church elder of the Christ Apostolic Church at Nyamebekyere in the Eastern Region identified as Kwabena Asiamah,50, has raped and impregnated his 15-years-old stepdaughter and bribed her with GHC 10 not to reveal the ordeal to anyone or he stop paying her school fees.
Narrating the incident, the Chief’s Linguist ‘Okyeame’ Kofi Twum explained that the Elder raped the 15-year old stepdaughter whiles she was asleep in the night when the wife had traveled out of town.
He continues and said the next day the girl told her brother about it but he didn’t believe her story which made her keep it to herself and failed even to tell her mother about it when she returned.

When she finally opened up the elder accused her of being possessed by evil spirits which are forcing her to lie against him.
The mother realizing her daughter was showing signs of pregnancy questioned her and that was where she spilled out the beans of what her stepdad had done to her.
“The daughter woke up and realized his father was smooching her breasts, so she got out of the bed and slept on the floor but the father around 1:am raped her which resulted in the pregnancy,’ he explained.
Elder Kwabena Asiamah who could not stand the shame from C.A.C congregation and fearing that he will be arrested by the police after his daughter told her mother and some traditional leaders in the community that he was responsible for the pregnancy,has gone into hiding.
