Ghanaian broadcaster Captain Smart was arrested yesterday by the Nima Divisional Police for making statements on his show that threatened the peace and security of Ghana.
On the show on Onua TV, Captain Smart expressed his frustration about the passing of the controversial 2022 Budget and called for an uprising.
According to him, Ghanaians will rise against hardship that will be introduced through new taxes and levies in the 2022 Budget.
Blessed Godsbrain Smart used very strong words to vent his spleen on the government and rallied Ghanaians behind him for what he described as a clarion call to rescue the nation from its ‘wreckers.”
“I don’t support a coup d’etat but I support an uprising. We require an uprising with positive defiance,” Captain Smart said on the show.
