Speaking as to how he joined the acting field he said, he was introduced into the movie industry by one director. He added that the first movie he starred in also featured the late Suzzy Williams and Kwame Owusu Ansah.
The actor known in private life as Joseph Nana Osei Kofi, recounting how he got his popular ‘Wayoosi’ name indicated that the name was conferred upon him when he starred in Micky Osei Berko’s series, “Dada Boat”.
Wayoosi revealed that he had reaped bountifully from the movie industry.The benefits of acting in the Kumawood movies he labelled include a mansion, three cars including a Honda HRV and a pub called Wayoosi Pub in Kumasi.
