Ace sports presenter Christopher Opoku has passed away, Ghpage.com has learned. Christopher Opoku died on Wednesday, May 10 after a long battle with cancer of the rectum for which he underwent a medical operation on September 24, 2012.
Until his death, Christopher Opoku worked for Accra-based Citi FM, Business & Financial Times and was the Managing Editor of Footy-Ghana.
Chris has been steadily recuperating as he was very active on all his social media platforms over his passion for football.
His last tweet was barely a fortnight ago:

His last Facebook interaction was about how he wanted the Kumasi Asante Kotoko to be managed well.
He was the face of Metro TV Sports between 2009 and 2012. He also worked for GTV Sports+ and Happy Sports and also a sports panelist on Multi TV.
Christopher had worked in Kumasi for Luv FM. Christopher Opoku left behind a wife, Vivian, and three children.
