6. Prof. John Evans Atta Mills
The former head of state who served from 2009 -2012 met his untimely death on the 24th of July 2012 at the 37 Military Hospital. His death came as shock to Ghanaians and world as a whole becoming the first ever sitting president to die in Ghana. He always preached peace and this made Ghanaians loved him. Rest in peace Prof.
