Chairman Wontumi is an interesting and enigmatic figure as far as Ghana’s politics is concerned.

Bernard Antwi Bosiako aka Chairman Wontumi was born on 1st May 1976 in the Ashanti region.

Apparently, not much is known about his parents but he has once confessed that he came from a very poor background with a modest upbringing.
Although there have been several reports that Chairman Wontumi is uneducated but he has always insisted that he attended Prempeh College in Kumasi in 1996, just to refute the allegations that he’s illiterate.
Speaking about the source of his wealth during an interview with Delay, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairman for the Ashanti Region, revealed that he started building his wealth at a young age, bragging that he owns “about 100” houses in Kumasi alone.
He also added in the course of the internet that he built his first 25-bedroom house while he was just 22 years.
