Nana Agyemang Badu Dua I, Chief of Kunsu in Ahafo Ano South West in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, has offered the government of Ghana 300 acres of land to construct the promised National Film village.
Nana Agyemang Badu Dua I who is the husband of veteran actress, Mercy Asiedu speaking at the ceremony stressed that it was “important for the film village to be constructed in Kunsu in the Ashanti Region especially considering the fact that production of a similar village has commenced.”

Before delivering on his promise, Nana Agyemang Badu Dua I had earlier promised 250 acres of land free to the government for construction. He changed his mind and rather gave the government 300 acres of free land.
He also revealed there are different areas in the community he can give the free 300 acres of land if the government does not prefer the area he has proposed for the Film Village to be situated.

Mercy Asiedu who was among the dignitaries present pressed on the president of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo to deliver on the promise he made when actresses in Ashanti Region met him immediately after his assumption of office
Present at the ceremony to hand over the 300 acres of land were honorable Johnson Adu Kwaku, MP for Ahafo Ano South West Constituency, Ashanti Region, Mr. Samuel Nyamekye, CEO of Miracle Films, Mr. James Aboagye, President of the Film Producers Association of Ghana, and many other dignitaries in the movie industry
Mr. Samuel Nyamekye and James Aboagye expressed their gratitude to Nana Agyemang Badu Dua I, Chief of Kunsu for his kind gesture as well as the people of Kunsu.
They also thank Oheneyere Mercy Asiedu for her influence in making the dream a reality. They promised to continue pressing on the government to construct the Ultra-modern film village as promised by the ruling government.
