Commonwealth Hall denies involvement in the latest clash on the Legon campus

The leadership of the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana has denied media reportage that its residents were involved in a clash with residents of Mensah Sarbah Hall last Friday night.

Videos surfaced on social media last weekend showing chaos on the campus of the Nations premier University.

According to the information attached to the video, a fight between members of two halls led to the destruction of some properties on the campus.

A few hours later, the school released an official statement indicating its stance on the matter and stating that efforts were being put in place to get the perpetrators brought to book.

Well, one of the halls allegedly involved in the fight thus the Commonwealth Hall has also released its official statement stating emphatically that the hall had no hand in the fight that happened on Friday.

According to the release, Commonwealth Hall doesn’t condone any form of violence and as such, they find it strange the school press release and the media are trying to link the fight to them.
