It is a known fact that the LGBT community is strong in Ghana and they keep increasing by the day despite it being illegal under the laws of Ghana.
Although they are a growing number, they mostly stay under the radar and keep to themselves. Hardly will a gay person identify himself to a nongay. And hardly will you hear a real conversation between a gay and a nongay person. But Otwinoko has made it possible.

For those of you who do not know who Otwinoko is, let me tell you about him. About some 5 years ago, he was the radio presenter with the most followers in Ashanti Region.
He hosted a program called “Ewiase Mu Nsem” on Radio Mercury which talked about the mystical things unknown to the world. Later on, he moved to Nyira Fm all in Kumasi to host a program called “Nsem Pii” which also talked about same issues.

Unfortunately, Otwinoko fell sick which many attributed to a spiritual attack. He is currently blind but holds a program called “Kama Me” on Royal TV.
Back to the issue. Apparently, Otwinoko talked about the issue of gay on the radio and a gay man called in to threaten him to stop talking about it because it won’t stop them in any way.
But he was convinced by Otwinoko that he was just cleaner at the station and not a presenter so he should talk to him about issues surrounding gay in Ghana.
Among other things, the man talked about the sizable number of gays in Ghana. How they wield so much power in the country and how he can easily make him rich and powerful if he joins them.
