Ghanaian relationship and marriage counselor and reverend minister, George Cyril Lutterodt has stated that he is in support of the introduction of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education.
According to the controversial marriage counselor, the introduction of sexuality education will help reduce teenage pregnancy.
He also stated that it is very important for a nine-year-old to be introduced to the use of contraceptives to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
George Lutterodt further stated that sexuality education will also help fight against homosexuality and the youth will be taught against it.
“For us to be safe in this country let a 9-year-old child know what contraceptive is to prevent teenage pregnancy and avoid certain things that we waste money on in this country. I support it 100%, this a good document for a study.
We should adopt and mold it to suit our norms and values in this country to prevent homosexuality”, Counselor Lutterodt stated.
Since the Ghana Education Service (GES) announced its decision to introduce Comprehensive Sexuality Education to basic schools, it has caused an outrage on social media.
Many personalities and religious leaders have opposed the idea, claiming its a ploy to introduce homosexuality to the youth.
However, some celebrities have applauded the government for this initiative as they believe the introduction of sexuality education can reduce rape and teenage pregnancies.
