Countryman Songo has opened up on how he felt when news broke that Kwesi Nyantakyi had resigned as Ghana Football Association (GFA) president following Anas’ expose which was premiered on June 6, 2018, at the AICC.
Songo has, on numerous occasions, accused the former GFA president of failing to promote sports in the country and for the poor performance of the Ghana Premier League.
According to him, Nyantakyi has added nothing better to Ghana Football, but only โchoppingโ money โnyafunyafuโ.
Mr Nyantakyi resigned as GFAโs president on June 8, 2018, after a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Association.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the staunch critic of Nyantakyi and Ghana football revealed that though the resignation was in a good direction, he wasnโt too happy about the subsequent dissolution of the GFA.
According to him, he will not jubilate over Nyantakyiโs โdownfallโ even though he disagreed with him in his line of work.
โI want Ghana football to go forward. I want it to rise up again. You shouldnโt be happy for someoneโs downfall. I wasnโt brought up like that. You have got to let a brother get up. Mine is, football should develop. We should be back to when we were winning trophies; that is what I am looking up for nowโฆโ he said.
