Court Discharges Six Suspects In Major Mahama Murder Case

An Accra Circuit Court has discharged six people suspected to be involved in the murder of Major Maxwell Mahama in Denkyira-Obuasi.

According to report, the six people freed by Court on Tuesday were among 26 suspects standing trial for the murder of the army officer which two of them are women.

The six are William Annor, Philip Badu, Kwame Agyei, Solomon Sackey, Vivian Asahene and Anthony Amoah.

It’s unclear now whether the six have been discharged and acquitted of all charges in the murder case, it is believed the rest of the suspects will face full trial soon.

However, the late army officer was ghastly murdered by some angry youth of Denkyira-Obuasi in the Central Region, after they blame him for being an armed robber.

Meanwhile, Major Mahama was on official assignment when he met his untimely death.
