A few months ago, Ghanaian footballer and former captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah alleged that his wife Gifty Gyan had had extramarital affairs. He further alleged that their children are not his biological children.
This suspicions led to him demand that a DNA test be run on all three children. The DNA test was conducted and it proved that that the children were really his.
Gifty Gyan then sued her husband demandig for compensations as Asamoah Gyan had stopped catering for her and her children from July 2018 till now.
In a recent development the divorce and matrimonial division of Accra court presided over by Justice Hafisata Amaleboba has ruled that football star, Asamoah Gyan pays a whooping of GH¢204,392 to his estranged Gifty for the upkeep of the custody of their three kids in her custody.
Justice Amaleboba maintained that while the main ruling on the marriage application pends for a final determination, Asamoah Gyan must settle bills and other expenditure covering water, electricity, gas, feeding, and others in arrears commencing from July 2018 to September 2019, totalling £18,450.74.
The order reads;
“It is this day adjudged that the applicant (Gifty Gyan) recovers against the petitioner (Asamoah Gyan) the following; “Bills and other expenditure covering water, electricity, gas-£680, internet – £180, skype – £107.91, saloon and other vehicle maintenance- £200, home maintenance – £150 in arrears commencing from July 2018 to September 2019, totalling £18,450.74”
Asamoah Gyan was also ordered to pay the all the educational expenses of his three children, including those in arrears from July 2018 to September 2019 covering (pockets money, school trips, books etc), totalling £2,800.
