COVID-19: Pregnant Ghanaian nurse dies of Coronavirus

Since the outbreak of the novel COVID-19, precious lives have been lost, others are left battling for their lives at various quarantine centres, hospitals and homes.

A pregnant Ghanaian nurse based in the United Kingdom, has died in Luton & Dunstable hospital after contracting coronavirus.

The deceased nurse identified as Mary Agyeiwaa Agyapong, 28, had been in active service for 5 years until this unfortunate incident.

By reports available to us, she passed died on Easter Sunday. Before her death, her baby girl was successfully delivered after an emergency Cesarean section and is doing well, according to the hospital.

Though the COVID-19 status of the new born baby is not yet established.

From our checks,  [deceased] Agyeiwaa Agyapong’s father has also died after contracting coronavirus, just days before his daughter.
