Controversial Dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr has explained why he is always in the news for one issue or the other.

The Shatta Movement boss in an interview stated that he always creates controversies to make him trend.

According to the “My Level” hitmaker, he creates most of the stories to get attention and he is happy that he was able to achieve that aim.

Shatta Wale added that if Ghanaians knew the reasons behind most of his actions and statements, they would not be bothered about him.

In regards to his scuffle with Stonebwoy at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, he explained that he had no ill intention of going on stage.

Shatta Wale indicated that he wasn’t going to cause any harm on stage and he should have been given the opportunity to do what he wanted to do.

“I have been acting all along and it is sad that Ghanaians didn’t see it. I created all the controversies to get the attention I needed and I am glad I did get the impact.”

There was no way I was going to cause any harm on stage. I should have just been given the opportunity to do whatever I wanted to do. I knew the platform I was on and I was not going to do anything bad”, Shatta Wale disclosed.

Shatta Wale has been involved in a lot of controversies since he rebranded from Bandana. He has had issues with several musicians such as Kakie, Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese and others.
