Rufftown Records signee, Wendy Shay has revealed that she was inspired by the untimely death of her father and the curiosity to know more about her late dad’s death to become a nurse.
In an interview with Lexis Bill on Behind the Fame on Drive Time on Joy FM, the “Uber Driver” hitmaker in her words stated that: “I wanted to be a nurse because of my dad because I lost my dad to a very weird sickness and my mum didn’t know it that well. So [it’s] because I wanted to know what killed him.”
The singer, who has lived in Germany since age 13 and became a nurse for a year and a half revealed what she loved most about being a nurse and also shared the most annoying moment she encountered.

According to her, the chance to meet new people, interact and get close to them was what she loved most.
“The worst part of being a nurse was getting racists comments like some patients telling me not to touch them because I’m black…”
“I tell them that if they don’t want my presence I will just leave at the end of the day you are the one in bed, you need help so if you are not nice to me and you want me to leave, I will just leave.”
