My dad wanted me to be an accountant and not a musican – Kumi Guitar reveals

Zylofon Music artiste, Kumi Guitar has revealed that he wasn’t ready to listen to his dad’s guidance as his dad wanted him to be an accountant and not a musician.

In an interview with Andy DOsty on the Daybreak Hitz, he revealed that his father did not support the idea of him doing music over a formal job making his dad finding it hard to accept him as a musician because he doesn’t like the aura it comes with.

“Even my dad is not in support for me to do music. He wants me to be something else like an accountant. He doesn’t like showbiz. I tried explaining things to him when my mom was being bashed on social media but he didn’t get why it was happening,” he revealed.

The ‘Betweener’ hitmaker who was once a taxu driver n=befroe becoming a full time musician also revealed that his dad later told him a man must survivie and therefore being a taxxi driver and a musician wasn’t a problem as long as he can put food on his table.

“…my dad told me ‘a man is supposed to be a man’ and if I am surviving on that [being a taxi driver], it’s cool. He didn’t really complain about it.”

In the same interview, KumiGuitar revealed how he was threatened by BHim Nation fans after releaseing a diss song for him in the wake of his[Stonebwoy] brouhaha with Zylofon Music.
