I Handed Over The Dancehall Crown To Ebony Reigns In 2017 – Kaakie Reveals

Ghanaian female dancehall artiste, Kaakie has hinted that she was the queen of dancehall before she handed it over to Ebony in 2017.

Replying a fan on Instagram, she revealed that she promised to support Ebony in her music career after she [Kaakie] presented the dancehall key to Ebony.

“. in January 2017. I gave her a crown Key holder and told her I was handing over the Dancehall Title to her. Am in full support,” Kaakie wrote.

Ebony reigns came into the limelight with her hit song ‘Kupe’ and ‘Dancefloor’ in 2017.

The dancehall queen Ebony Reigns died on February 8, 2017, on the Sunyani-Kumasi road in a fatal accident when returning from Sunyani with her bodyguard Francis Atsu Vondee and PA Franky Kuri. She had gone to visit her mum who had returned from the UK before the tragic accident.

Her final funeral rite has been scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2018.
