The Maverick member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has warned the New Patriotic Party (NPP), with respect to the appointment of Martin Amidu as Special Prosecutor (SP).
In a report by MynewsGH.com, the lawmaker stated that NPP members need to be cautious with Amidu’s appointment else could be dangerous to them.
He further explained that the choice of Amidu could affect the party chances in future elections if care isn’t taken.
Celebrate Martin Amidu, he will soon come after the very party that appointed him. Martin Amidu is like Circuit Training based on Animal Flow Workouts.
You train the animal and one day, one day it will attack and kill its owner. That is what will happen,” he said.
In addition, he said Amidu was appointed as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice by the late Atta-Mills-led government, became a source of disappointment to the then president, and in that respect, he (Agyapong) would pass no further comments on the new appointment as SP.
However, his nomination is subjected to approval by parliament.
Meanwhile, Martin Amidu was selected by President Akufo-Addo as Ghana’s first Special Prosecutor.
